So it is time for October and the
Halloween scares. If you haven’t noticed there are haunted houses set up all
over the place some scarier then others. While haunted houses may seem like fun,
they can be scary and overwhelming. Think twice before you enter a haunted house
this Halloween.
Some extreme Haunts have you sign a waiver indicting that
they can touch you and do all sorts of things that violate your personal space,
self-esteem and more. This waiver also indicates that you cannot hold them
liable for injuries, law-suites, death or anything else that may happen when
you enter their extreme haunted houses. Although, many of these extreme haunts
have age limits, they are still dangerous. We all know that Halloween is time
to be scared and to scare others, but I think even then there should be limits.
Some have left these establishments with black eyes, scratches, even scars
from being sexual assaulted. No one can witness these attacks, since it is in
complete darkness, and you sign a waiver to encounter these attacks.
So before you decide to enter these Haunted houses this
Halloween or for Halloweens to come, make sure you read the fine print, and be
ready for any danger that may await you behind those dark closed doors.
I'm from Las Vegas, and recently visited The Freakling Bros Trilogy of Terror and have to say four of us went, I myself had a panic attack the first thirty seconds of the extreme haunt, my sister was touched on her thighs and grabbed which made her uncomfortable, and the security guards were ABSOLUTELY no help, they yelled at my friend, called him a "f*cker" and a "bi*ch", thank you for posting this, and everyone remember to beware of where you go for fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your negative experience with haunted houses. The security guards should've been there for you. I think they take these extreme haunts/haunted houses to far sometimes. Thank you for sharing your story.
