Teaching your child time should be a fun and exciting
experience. Tying meaning, and memories to a learning experience makes it
magical, and something your child will recall later in life, something they
will remember forever. They will remember the feeling, the place, the people,
and the objects that take place in that experience. Learning should be fun and
magical. It is important to teach children with hands on objects and
activities.
Teaching time can be a challenging task. It is not easy for
a child to grasp the concept of time, and then how to tell time on a
traditional clock. To make telling time more fun, and easier to learn; I
started teaching my children at an early age. To make the experience of telling
time more fun and interesting, I started off with a analog clock or watch. I
gave my little girl this Cute Girls Analog Watch. She loved
that it was hers and that she can wear it wherever she went. This way she takes
learning with her. Since she is only 5, we are also learning numbers. This
watch helps teach her numbers, and time in a fun and interactive way, a way
that she will enjoy and remember.
Later on when it comes time to learn time with a traditional
clock, she will have a grasp at what time is, what it means, and why it is
important; so this way she can focus on how to tell time rather then it’s
purpose, because she would already know the purpose of time.
